Gohan son of Goku is the best well rounded character in Dragonball Z/GT because he has experienced everything humilaty, glory, pride all of it Gohan has experienced it all. Gohan entered the scene at the young age of five. When we first saw Gohan he was shi and really didn't want to bother anyone. But after he showed his enormous strength in the battle against Raditz. Piccolo took Gohan and trained him. Even though Piccolo did train him well. Gohan didn't have the confidence needed to battle after seeing his best friend and mentor (Piccolo) die at the hands of Nappa. Gohan had a new anger an anger that also gave him confidence. From that point Gohan has had confidence all the way through Dragonball Z/GT . Except for one instance in the Cell Saga when victory seemed just out of reach Gohan had no confidence but with encouragement from C-#16 and his father Goku Gohan evolved into a new level of the Super Saiya-jin and destroyed Cell. After which Gohan went on his own he married a young girl named Videl (Mr. Satan's Daughter) and had a duaghter named Pan-chan Pan for short. Since Gohan was only 1/2 Saiya-jin his daughter was 1/4 Saiya-jin and I think decreased her chances of reaching the Super Saiya-jin Level. But Gohan started crime fighting and took on a new alias as the Great Saiyaman. If you have ever seen the Japanese Dragonball Z intro you will see The Great Saiyaman in action several times. After which he Got the Zet sword
